LPI designed this machine for the automated high speed production of defibrillator pads and manufactured it in house.  The frame was welded and painted in our custom shop while our electronic group designed the PLC system.

The resulting machine applied UV adhesives to various materials and cured them.  Foam and VHB tapes were also applied and the layers laminated together. Precision rotary dies cut the layers to the proper shape and created the complete finished part.  An output speed of up to 3000 pads per hour was achieved.
